Vibration measurement technology: compact, intelligent and fast
Vibrations deliver information on the condition of bearings, shafts and machinery and generally have a major affect on levels of quality in production processes. They should therefore be continuously acquired, intelligently evaluated and condensed into meaningful data for monitoring. In critical situations, machinery needs to be shut down within milliseconds.
Expert Vibro combines the requirements and functioning of modern vibration measurement systems into a highly compact device. Other systems usually require multiple equipment. Vibration measurement is made easy with Expert Vibro. System installation and familiarization are short so that users can quickly start processing their data.
With its Expert Vibro device, Delphin have successfully combined the processing of complex functions with high levels of flexibility in a user-friendly system. Vibration measurement systems can now be used where they had previously been economically infeasible. The device is equipped with a high powered, dual core FPGA processor based on ARM technology giving users ample reserves of processing power.
Users are able to switch between voltage measurement, IEPE or shaft vibration sensors. Integrated comparators and digital inputs allow flexible triggering. Measurement data is monitored "on the fly" with digital outputs being switched within msecs in the event of limit value violations .
Expert Vibro provides users with analysis and monitoring functions, intelligent signal processing, an independent data storage capability and versatile fieldbus connections – all in a single device. Right from the outset, users save costs and avoid troublesome interface problems.

Your benefits with Expert Vibro vibration measurement technology
Of special benefit is the modular system for signal processing with a range of preprocessing functions. Filters, such as high, low, or bandpass with rectifiers, integrators, differentiators or decimators can be selected to make up a preprocessing sequence. Multiple preprocessing sequences are able to run in parallel in order to evaluate an input signal. This gives users an especially high level of flexibility.
Non-periodic signals, such as in fault diagnostics, can be analysed precisely using Expert Vibro. In continuous sampling mode, even the smallest of irregularities are recorded. Expert Vibro measures, monitors and records fully independently. Expert Vibro is equipped with its own internal data storage capability making it especially reliable and secure.

Functions
Multi-channel vibration measurement technology
The Expert Vibro is equipped with 4, 8, 12 or 16 synchronous analog inputs with sampling rates of up to 50kHz per channel. It uses a 24-Bit A/D converter to guarantee a high-precision measurement. Channels are all galvanically isolated from each other. This prevents the occurrence of any transverse interference between channels. Integrated comparators and digital inputs allow flexible triggering. Measurement data is monitored "on the fly" with up to 8 digital outputs that can be switched within msecs in the event of limit value violations.
Software channels are available to systematically group limit value violations into batch alarms. Instead of using digital outputs, alarms can also be processed via fieldbus interfaces. Characteristic values or raw time signals from analog inputs can be output to two analog outputs.

FFT (fast Fourier transform) integrated in the vibration measurement device
Versatile software channels enable the Expert Vibro to perform complex analysis and monitoring tasks. All relevant characteristic values are obtained from spectra and time signals. Spectra are calculated online (FFT) and saved with time signals and characteristic values. Users can modularly determine the analysis functions required for specific channels. Functions include high, low and band pass filters, integrators, FFT algorithms and many more.
Harmonic vibration monitoring is a typical requirement. Phase measurement delivers the necessary characteristic values. Odd harmonics can also be calculated, such as the blade passing frequency. To monitor frequency bands, speed-adaptive narrow-band characteristics are evaluated. Such characteristics are main frequency and a band's RMS (root mean square) or maximum amplitude.
Flexibility through programmable functions
Expert Vibro is equipped with advanced signal processing functions. These can be grouped together under the term "software channels". Software channels enable users to easily configure functions such as limit value monitoring, integration or online computations. Even users with no programming expertise can generate and implement their own monitoring and record-keeping systems.
The modular system is tried and tested and very popular. Software channels are created and configured by simple mouse clicking and then run independently within the device. Software channels each have one or more inputs and one output and are simple to link to each other. Even complex tasks are then easy to process. All functions are independently processed by a powerful internal processor that ensures Expert Vibro operates reliably.

Addition of special vibration measurement diagrams
The additional function "Vibro" supplements ProfiSignal with the diagrams FFT, cascade, time signal, bode, envelope curve as well as orbit and spectrogram. This makes it possible to display the vibration values measured and calculated with the vibration measurement device. The orbit and trend diagram enables, among other things, the graphical representation of the kinetic wave path.
To the productData acquisition and analysis
With ProfiSignal Go you can display online data from the Message and Expert hardware in diagram form. Numerous analysis functions, such as zoom, cursor, movable axes, flags, ASCII export and calculation channels, enable fast display of measured values and post-processing.
To the productOperating and monitoring
ProfiSignal Basic combines the functions of ProfiSignal Go with operating and monitoring elements of process visualisations, e.g. digital and analogue displays, switches, buttons and signal lamps. With Basic, you can create everything from simple visualisation diagrams to complex visualisation systems.
To the productAutomate and control
ProfiSignal Klicks supplements ProfiSignal Basic with functions for process automation. Structural diagrams for mapping the process as well as a script language (completely operable with the mouse) enable even the non-informatician to create complex test stand and automation applications with automatic report generation.

The Delphin Data Center is the solution used for the worldwide measurement networking and control of plants, machines and test stands.
To the productVisualisation and operation
With ProfiSignal 20 Basic you can create individual diagrams using a wide range of operating and monitoring elements. Both continuous processes (e.g. production data acquisition) and discontinuous measurement tasks (e.g. test measurements) can be visualised, operated and monitored without any programming effort. You can create the operating and monitoring diagrams by assembling and configuring the prefabricated elements.
To the productFast project planning and analysis of measurement data
With ProfiSignal 20 Go you can visualise your measurement data in just a few steps, both online and offline, in various diagram types, monitor, analyse, archive as a measurement file or export directly in the appropriate file format.
To the productSoftware channels as extended functions
Realise and execute monitoring and automation tasks easily
The Delphin measuring and testing devices have extended functions that are summarised under the term software channels. The online measurement data is calculated with the software channels and then used for visualisation, storage or control.
In this way, entire programme sequences can be configured very simply and intuitively with the regulation and control function. These then run autonomously without PC support. This is how you use your data logger effectively, also as a monitoring device or PLC replacement.
The software channels enable functions such as limit value monitoring, integration or online calculation and are configured very easily. This means that even users who are not experts in programming can easily implement their own monitoring tasks or balancing independently in the unit.
