It refers to the galvanic isolation between individual measurement channels, sensors, signal sources, and system components, preventing unwanted compensation currents from flowing.

Consistent potential isolation is essential, particularly when acquiring analog signals, to prevent electrical interference between different measurement points. Without sufficient isolation, so-called Ground Loops occur. These often lead to signal interference, distorted measurement readings, and, in the worst case, malfunctions of sensors, testing systems, or entire processes.

In modern measurement and data acquisition systems from Delphin Technology Galvanic isolation is used to ensure reliable acquisition of a wide variety of signals, even in demanding applications. When measuring live components, electric drives, test benches, or power systems, galvanic isolation not only protects the measurement equipment but also increases measurement accuracy and operational safety.

Another advantage is that different potentials within a system can be measured independently of one another. This allows temperature, current, voltage, pressure, or vibration signals to be recorded without interference, even in complex industrial environments. Especially in multi-channel measurement systems, channel-by-channel potential isolation is crucial to prevent the measurement channels from interfering with one another.

Depending on the model, Delphin Technology’s measurement data acquisition systems and data loggers feature galvanically isolated analog inputs and interfaces. This reliably suppresses interference potentials and significantly improves the quality of the measurement data. This is particularly important for long-term measurements, test bench applications, energy monitoring, and condition monitoring of machines and systems.

In short: Galvanic isolation protects measurement systems from interference, prevents ground loops, enhances safety, and provides the foundation for precise and reliable data acquisition in industrial applications.

["post-7381","glossar","type-glossar","status-publish","hentry
["GET
