End-of-line test bench for clamping technology - automated with Expert Logger and OPC-UA
In this video, we show an industrial customer application from the clamping technology and fixture construction sector. The customer manufactures different clamping arms - both linear clamps and lever variants - and wanted to integrate a fully automated end-of-line inspection.
As part of a joint pre-engineering process, we analyzed the existing hardware and, based on this, developed a test system with our Expert Logger as a central measurement and control platform. About OPC-UA the device communicates directly with the customer's existing engine control unit.
The test sequence is completely automatic:
- The user defines angle or path positions (e.g. 0°, 180°, 270°)
- Specifies tolerance ranges, number of test cycles and test time
- Position, time response and force values are recorded during the process
- After completion, the system automatically generates a pass/fail report as a PDF
This means that every tensioner is tested to 100 % before it is delivered - transparently, documented and reproducibly.
