Accurate pressure vibration measurement on a waste heat boiler

Vibrations occurred in a waste heat boiler downstream of a gas turbine, which led to noise in the form of sheet metal vibrations and disturbed the neighborhood of the power plant. Initially, it was not possible to find a clear cause. Only pressure vibration measurements that were carried out helped to locate the source in the boiler. After structural changes were made to the boiler, the measurement was repeated and the effectiveness was clearly demonstrated.
