Record, monitor and analyze shaft vibrations
The measurement of shaft vibrations refers to the detection and analysis of vibrations that occur in wave form. This can be relevant in various areas such as turbines, gas turbines, hydroelectric power plants or compressors. Special sensors or measuring devices are used to measure shaft vibrations, which record the vibrations and convert them into electrical signals. These signals can then be analyzed to obtain information about the frequency, amplitude and other characteristics of the vibrations. Measuring shaft vibrations is important for identifying problems, optimizing performance parameters and ensuring the safety of systems.
Up to 16 shaft vibrations can be recorded, analyzed and monitored synchronously with an Expert Vibro device. Both the static shaft position and the dynamic vibration of the plain-bearing mounted rotating shaft in relation to the fixed bearing housing are determined. The radial shaft position and speed are also recorded by means of a reference mark (KeyPhasor) on the shaft. Phase information can be calculated from the shaft position. The Expert Vibro device can calculate a spectrum and characteristic values such as smax or peak-peak directly from the measured time signals, save them independently or transfer them to DCS systems or PCs via Ethernet or PROFIBUS-DP. With the software ProfiSignal and the Vibro option, the measured values can be displayed and evaluated in the Orbit, Polar, Bode, Shaft Centerline or FFT diagram.
