Simple and fast connection technology
The constantly increasing degree of automation in modern plants and machines requires a detailed and high-resolution fault analysis in the event of a sporadic fault occurring. The Delphin fault analysis measuring cases have proven themselves for these tasks. Delphin devices such as the Expert Logger or the ProfiMessage D are installed in the measuring cases for data acquisition. Due to the performance of the installed devices, no PC or laptop is required on site. The signals are fed through a cable gland in the case lid and connected to the analogue and digital inputs by means of plug connectors or terminals. In the ring memory or triggered, with pre- and post-history, the faults are stored captive in the device. They can then be read out via network, WLAN or USB stick and evaluated with ProfiSignal 20.
In addition, through the DAQ software Delphin Data Center, all captured data can be stored, synchronised and used via network.
Measurement, control and regulation
Measurement cases for fault analysis can be configured as required so that they can be used not only for analysis but also for testing, controlling and regulating. Thanks to the built-in Delphin measurement technology and data logger devices, PC-independent use is possible at almost any location. Modern protocol and radio standards such as WLAN or OPC UA facilitate rapid use in modern systems.

Practical example
Optimisation for fault analysis on systems
A manufacturer of stainless steel pipes uses a measuring case equipped with 15 universal analogue inputs and 24 digital inputs for fault analysis on the various plants and trades. Especially in rough environments, the robustness and dust protection is appreciated, as the case can be closed for the period of the measurement. Thanks to the integrated sensor supply and the installation of a setpoint generator for the simulation of signals, virtually no external accessories are required. The wiring effort on site at the plant is significantly reduced by the high flexibility of the measuring case and the detachable connectors. Especially for sporadic use, as is often the case in fault analysis, this is a clear advantage for the user.
