Practical example of temperature data acquisition

Efficient temperature measurement on the large test bench for turbines

Around 3,000 temperatures have to be precisely recorded and monitored on the large test bench for turbines. Various types of thermocouples and high-precision resistance thermometers are used for this. In order to ensure reliable data acquisition, a solution with a 64-channel temperature measuring device Type KTM implemented by Delphin. The sensors are connected via subminiature thermocouple plugs and the measured values are stored locally in the Delphin measuring devices as well as transmitted to the central data acquisition system via LAN. Continuous data storage and analysis is carried out on a server using the Delphin measurement technology software ProfiSignal. A total of 12,000 measured values are recorded and evaluated on the test bench. Thanks to the scalable measuring devices, the temperatures can be recorded directly at the mounting locations of the sensors, which ensures a high degree of flexibility and accuracy and minimizes the wiring effort for the user. To ensure long-term stable measurement results, the measuring devices are calibrated every two years
