Effort-minimized testing of wind turbine gearboxes
A service company has set itself the task of overhauling wind turbine gearboxes. In order to minimize downtimes, the gearboxes are replaced and then overhauled in one go. Each gearbox runs for approx. 8 hours on a test stand before being used again. Temperatures and vibrations are recorded and monitored using a LogMessage device. Each tested gearbox is thus proven to have run flawlessly on the test bench and thus documents its correct function before it is reinstalled at great expense.
