Practical example of process monitoring
Efficient monitoring of firing processes
A manufacturer of piezo ceramics ensures the quality and reproducibility of its products through precise and automated monitoring of all firing processes. Powerful message devices are used in combination with a ProfiSignal-application, which controls the entire process efficiently and transparently. Recording of the firing process starts automatically for each kiln and each batch as soon as a defined limit temperature of 100 °C is exceeded. All relevant process parameters such as temperature curves, holding times and ramp curves are precisely recorded and monitored in real time.
A three-part overview visualization provides the user with a quick overall status of all kilns, allows direct selection of a specific kiln and access to detailed process information on individual batches. An online trend can also be displayed for each batch to visually monitor the current progress during the firing process and immediately identify any deviations. Once the process is complete, recording and monitoring is automatically stopped as soon as the temperature falls below 90 °C. All process data is archived in batches on a central server and is available at any time for analysis, verification requirements or process optimization.
All recorded batch protocols can be accessed flexibly from any workstation within the company network, which significantly reduces the effort required for quality assurance and documentation. At the same time, process stability is increased as critical deviations can be detected at an early stage and measures can be taken immediately. This solution enables manufacturers to seamlessly monitor and document their firing processes, reduces manual effort, increases process reliability and makes a significant contribution to ensuring product quality and avoiding rejects.
