Vibration diagnostics: Early detection for maximum system availability for turbines and generators
Do you want to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of your turbines and generators? Vibration monitoring and analysis is an indispensable tool for this. Under high loads, these systems are susceptible to vibrations that can lead to serious damage if they are not detected in time. With regular measurements, you can identify problems such as imbalance, misalignment or bearing damage at an early stage. This gives you the opportunity to take countermeasures as quickly as possible, avoid expensive repairs and prevent breakdowns. Rely on Delphin vibration diagnostics to optimally protect your machines and systems and extend their service life!
What advantages does vibration diagnostics on turbines and generators with Delphin offer you?
- Reliable system protection: Monitoring vibrations on turbines and generators regardless of power class and bearing type - effective vibration diagnostics for maximum operational safety
- Immediate alerting in the event of problems: Permanent monitoring and automatic signaling when limit values are exceeded, including digital alarm output or forwarding via fieldbus to control systems
- Versatile application possibilities: Monitoring and signal evaluation on test benches for reliable test results
- Flexible sensor integration: Direct use of vibration velocity and vibration acceleration sensors, which provide precise data and allow seamless adaptation to different measurement requirements
- Mobility and flexibility: Mobile system (measuring case) for vibration diagnostics on the move - ideal for spontaneous diagnostics and flexible on-site use
- Optimal data analysis for well-founded decisions: Conversion of sensor signals into RMS values and precise monitoring of TRMS and PeakPeak values to enable fast and informed decision making
Vibration diagnostics is an essential tool for ensuring the long-term reliability and efficiency of turbine and generator operation. Typical areas of application are
- Monitoring of smaller industrial gas turbines
- Monitoring of gas engines
- Monitoring of compressors and compressors
- Monitoring motors and gearboxes
- Monitoring electric motors
Practical example of turbine and generator monitoring
Cost-effective vibration monitoring of gas turbines
An energy supplier modernized its gas turbines and in doing so used a Delphin System to improve vibration diagnostics. The system not only records the vibration velocity, but also temperatures, enabling a more precise analysis. The Delphin system provides flexible monitoring solutions at a very attractive price for applications outside the scope of the API670. The system can be seamlessly integrated into the existing control system via ModBus TCP. Flexible limit value generation and collective alarms enabled clear and reliable monitoring. Thanks to the cost-effective solution, the customer was able to increase the safety and reliability of its turbines, optimize maintenance intervals and reduce long-term operating costs. This project shows how Delphin efficiently fulfills individual requirements and creates real added value.
