A leading manufacturer of plastic tank systems was faced with the challenge of testing its ventilation valves more efficiently and reliably - both in series production and as part of maintenance and service. In order to meet this requirement, the entire testing facility was automated and equipped with modern components. The following were used ProfiMessage devices for recording and controlling the test processes as well as the powerful ProfiSignal software for the user interface, evaluation and report generation. The solution now enables five different, fully automated test sequences that can be flexibly selected depending on the valve type or test requirement. In addition, a manual test mode is available for service calls or special tests, in which individual valves can be specifically switched and checked. The test results are simultaneously recorded, visualized and documented - either as a print-ready report or as an Excel export for further processing. Graphical trend analyses are also directly available and can be used as vector-based documentation or presentations. The conversion of the system, the integration of the measurement and control technology and the complete implementation of the testing software - including tests and commissioning - were successfully completed in a remarkably short period of just ten days.
