Adapter channel

Adapter channels are virtual channels within the ProfiSignal softwarewhich make it possible to develop applications independently of specific hardware. They act as placeholders for real measurement or control channels and thus facilitate the flexible design of projects.

During program execution, these adapter channels can be dynamically assigned to physically available channels using ProfiSignal scripts. In this way, applications can be designed, tested and later easily adapted to different hardware configurations without a fixed channel assignment.
