Devistore is a method developed for the intelligent and memory-efficient recording of large amounts of measurement data. The goal is to significantly reduce the amount of data without losing relevant information about the measurement process.
With the Devistore method, parameters that can be defined for individual measurement channels or variables Tolerance Ranges specified. A new measurement value is saved only if it has changed by more than the specified tolerance compared to the last saved value. Measurement values that fall within this tolerance are considered unchanged and are not saved again.
This ensures that identical or only slightly varying measurement values are not stored multiple times. The database therefore contains only the changes in a measurement signal that are relevant for the analysis.
This method is particularly well-suited for long-term measurements and applications with high sampling rates, in which many measured values remain virtually constant over long periods of time. The reduced volume of data significantly lowers storage requirements, database size, and archiving efforts, while ensuring that important process changes remain fully documented.
Typical applications for Devistore:
- Long-term monitoring of machinery and equipment
- Energy and Consumption Data Collection
- Environmental and Climate Measurements
- Building and Process Monitoring
- Test bench and endurance testing applications
- Condition Monitoring
Benefits of Devistore:
- Significant reduction in storage requirements
- More Efficient Management of Large Sets of Measurement Data
- Faster analyses and database queries
- Complete recording of relevant signal changes
- Ideal for long-term recordings and continuous monitoring
Through intelligent data reduction, Devistore enables the cost-effective storage of large volumes of measurement data and helps ensure the efficient operation of measurement, testing, and monitoring systems, even over long periods of time.
