Future-proof data acquisition for demanding industrial environments
In industrial plants with high temperatures, dust pollution and complex measuring tasks, older measuring systems often reach their limits. For mobile emission measurements in particular, data must be reliably recorded, flexibly processed and easy to read out - even directly on site under difficult conditions.
An operator of a large industrial and chemical site was faced with precisely this challenge: existing data loggers were technically outdated, the interfaces no longer met current requirements and handling in daily use was increasingly complex. At the same time, a wide variety of signals such as 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, temperature measurements with Pt100 and thermocouples as well as external measuring devices still had to be flexibly integrated.
The challenge
The focus was on the search for a robust, mobile and future-proof solution for emission and process measurements.
The requirements included, among other things:
- Flexible connection of various sensors and measuring devices
- Robust design for hot and dusty industrial environments
- High storage capacity for multi-day measurement campaigns
- Modern communication interfaces as a replacement for serial systems
- Easy configurability for changing measurement tasks
- Mobile use as a case or housing solution
Intuitive operation and the ability to flexibly adapt measurement tasks to changing application scenarios and access the data on the move were particularly important.



Our solution
A compact special housing concept with modular data acquisition was developed to meet the requirements.
During the project meetings, various system concepts were presented and implemented—the compact Delphin Loggito Logger - for smaller measurement campaigns, as well as a mobile solution with an LTE interface to enable modern, location-independent data connectivity.
In addition, a loan device was provided for practical use so that the planned solution could be evaluated directly under real operating conditions. Requirements for the subsequent housing and connection concept were then defined together with the customer.
The result
The result is a modern concept for mobile emission and process measurements that has been specially designed for customer applications and demanding industrial applications.
The new solution enables:
