An international manufacturer in the field of control cabinet and systems engineering was therefore looking for a new mobile measurement solution for laboratory and test bench applications. The goal was a wheeled control cabinet that could flexibly support a wide variety of measurement and testing tasks and integrate seamlessly into existing laboratory environments.
The challenge
Existing measurement systems needed to be modernized and expanded. At the same time, a wide variety of interfaces, measuring devices, and visualization options had to be taken into account.
The focus was particularly on:

- Mobile use thanks to a rollable control cabinet design

In addition, the solution should integrate with existing systems and applications to ensure that current processes continue to run efficiently.
Our solution
Working closely with the customer, we developed a customized design for a mobile measurement and test cabinet.
Based on the requirements, a modular system was developed with ProfiMessage D, various I/O modules such as ADIT, DIOT, ADGT, and ADVP, as well as an integrated visualization solution. Particular emphasis was placed on flexibility and expandability.
In addition, using Delphin ProfiSignal 20 Basic A modern software solution has been implemented that allows measurement values to be visualized on mobile devices regardless of location. This enables relevant laboratory and test data to be quickly monitored and evaluated at any time.
In addition, training sessions were held on ProfiSignal 20 as well as on automation and visualization to quickly familiarize new employees with existing testing and measurement processes. The focus was particularly on visualization, automation, and reporting.
