10 BaseT

10 BaseT (IEEE802.3 Clause 14) defines the cabling of the network. With this standard, data is transmitted separately in the send and receive directions via two twisted wire pairs.

The maximum transmission speed here is 10 MBit/s. The maximum length of a segment (e.g. hub to PC) is limited to 100 m at 10 BaseT.
