1000 BaseT

1000 BaseT (IEEE 802.3 Clause 40) defines the cabling of the network. With this standard, four twisted wire pairs are used for data transmission in both the send and receive directions. The maximum transmission speed is 1 GBit/s. The maximum length of a segment (e.g. hub to PC) is limited to 100 m with 1000 BaseT.
