Baud rate

Baud rate | The speed at which symbols are transmitted in the unit Baud (BD = 1/s). 1 baud: 1 symbol per second. The baud rate corresponds exactly to the bit rate if no more than two different symbols are transmitted. If more than two different symbols are transmitted, the bit rate is higher than the symbol rate. One symbol then corresponds to several bits.
