Mains hum

Mains hum

As Mains hum is the term used to describe the effect on electronic measuring devices of currents and voltages (50 Hz / 60 Hz) that originate from live electrical cables in the domestic and public power grid. For measurement technology, mains hum is a source of interference that is suppressed by suitable means in the Expert and Message devices and therefore no longer has any significant influence, even with small useful signals.
