OPC DA | OPC Data AccessThe first OPC standard for serial transmission of real-time data according to the client-server principle. OPC protocols use TCP/IP protocols for data transport. OPC DA replaces driver-specific data exchange between devices, PLCs and user interfaces (HMIs) with a universal standard. Only one universal OPC driver needs to be set up for each device or PLC. Without OPC, products from different manufacturers require different drivers.
