PROFIBUS

PROFIBUS | Process Field Busopen standard for bidirectional fieldbus communication in automation technology based on the master-slave principle. Simultaneous sending and receiving of data packets is possible. Delphin devices and software offer the PROFIBUS protocol DP for communication via COM/RS485 interfaces. PROFIBUS was developed for the manufacturing and process industry. There are three variants: PROFIBUS DP (Decentralized Peripherals, for controlling sensors and actuators), PROFIBUS PA (Process Automation, for communication between measuring and process devices) and PROFIBUS FMS (Fieldbus Message Specification, for communication in complex machines and systems).
