PROFINET | Process Field Network, open Industrial Ethernet standard of the PROFIBUS user organization PNO e. V. (German umbrella organization of 27 PROFIBUS organizations). PROFINET CBA (Component Based Automation) works with the TCP/IP protocol family (= Internet Protocol family) and enables real-time communication between the components of a computer network according to the client-server principle. Certain Delphin devices use PROFINET CBA.
