Pulse width modulation (PWM)

PWM | Pulse width modulationis a square wave signal whose information carrier is the pulse width, i.e. the duration of a high status. The signal contains the two level states (status) high and low as well as rising and falling edges. The duration of a high and the following low level corresponds to a period duration. The edges can trigger a switching operation.
