Ring buffer

Ring buffer | A term for the use of storage media for ring storage: the storage space available (= 100 %) is divided into ten equal-sized files of 10 % each, regardless of its size. The files are filled one after the other. During backup (backup of measurement data by copying to an external storage medium), incompletely filled ring buffer files can also be read out.
