Terminating resistor

Terminating resistor | Resistor that prevents reflections in the cable. Suitably dimensioned terminating resistors at both ends of the cable prevent signal distortion. The terminating resistor must be the same size as the line resistance. In this case, the reflection factor is equal to 0. Reflection factor: Amplitude of the reflected wave divided by the amplitude of the incident wave.
