What measurement data can be recorded and how exactly does it work?

In principle, all physical parameters can be recorded by sensors and converted into measurement data. The basis is always a sensor that is optimized for the respective application. For example, thermocouples or resistance thermometers are used to measure temperatures, while acceleration sensors detect shocks or vibrations.
